Thanks to a really wet spring and fall last year and our sweet dog Mayzie, we successfully killed all of the grass in our back yard! We knew we needed to replace it, so with the help of our friends and neighbors we now have a back yard again! It all went down a couple weekends ago and it worked out beautifully. Two of our neighbors needed some sod as well, so we split the cost and bought a bunch of sod all together. We started Friday and got compost spread and then the yard tilled and raked before going to the temple Friday night. Then Saturday morning we got all the sod layed in our yard and our neighbors yard and even had time to pick up some compost for the guy who let us borrow his roto-tiller all by 3:00. I love having grass back there! It makes the yard look bigger (even though it is still really small). So far Mayzie has liked it too and has only ripped up a couple of squares.
**Update: I wrote this post about 3 weeks ago. The grass is still growing very well, and occasionally Mayzie still finds a loose corner of sod to pull up. So far it hasn't been anything too damaging. It's growing and looking nice! Yay!

I'm so jealous! It's a tiny yard, but the grass beats ours hands down. :) Sometimes it's easier to make a small yard look nice. I'm impressed with how quickly you got it done too! Good job!
